This year we are performing Jesus' Christmas Party which is a story the staff have added music and dancing to. The children are practising hard and they cant wait for their family to come and watch. Concerts will begin at 9.30am & 12.30pm, children must be brought to the hall 15 minutes before the concert to get into costumes we will provide.
We will be holding our Christmas party afternoon in the Clifton Community Centre. This will be a cost of £8 per child which we help cover some of the cost of the soft play hire, party food, a present and a special visit from Father Christmas. Letters have been put in drawers which state an allocated pick up time for each child. We have varied these to help avoid congestion when visiting Father Christmas at the end of the party. Children are required to wear sensible clothing and socks for the soft play.
Wednesday 13th & Thursday 14th February 2018
Wednesday 20th & Thursday 21st June 2018
These are for prospectus parents and children who would like to visit and see our preschool in action, a good chance for children to have a play and explore our grounds.
If you would like to attend please call the office or email us on:
13th & 14th June 2018
Parents Evenings (more info to follow)
We are fundraising by holding a Happy Bags collection on 3 dates during the spring and summer term: 6th February, 4th May & 4th July 2018.
Please save reusable clothes, reusable paired shoes and footwear, handbags, belts, accessories, soft toys and bed linen.
"At Happy School Bags we offer schools the opportunity to raise funds and at the same time to help our environment by keeping valuable and reusable resources out of landfill. We specialise in collecting and buying quality second hand clothes, working together with the pupils, parents and teachers to fundraise, recycle and educate. The scheme is suited for schools from playgroups to colleges as well as other organisations. This cost free programme actively promotes recycling at school and encourages children to become involved in waste reduction."
We will taking part in World Book Day by dressing as our favourite book characters, to help promote the importance of books and early reading skills.
All children who are leaving to start school in September 2018 will be invited to have a photo together with the staff as a memento of their friends and key persons at Woodland's. This usually takes place in the morning but more information will be given closer to the date.
Sports day will be held on Tuesday 26th June unless cancelled due to wet weather. It will then be rearranged for Thursday 28th June. More information will be given closer to the date.
